Thank you for choosing AF Studios! Each piece is thoughtfully created by hand and made specifically for you. Please review the following policies before placing your order.
1. Custom Artwork
All commissioned artwork is created from the reference photos and information provided by the client. Please provide clear, high-quality photographs whenever possible. The final artwork will be an artistic interpretation of the reference photo and may not be an exact replica.
2. Pricing & Payment
Prices are based on the size, level of detail, number of subjects, and requested additions.
3. Revisions
Minor revisions are included when applicable. Major changes or requests made after the artwork has been approved may result in an additional fee.
Once the final artwork has been approved, additional changes may not be possible.
4. Turnaround Time
Estimated turnaround times will be provided at the time of booking.
Typical turnaround:
- Digital Proof: 5–10 business days
- Original/Printed Artwork: 7–14 business days
- Framed Artwork: 2–3 weeks
Turnaround times may vary depending on the complexity of the commission, order volume, holidays, or circumstances outside of AF Studios' control.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
Deposits for custom artwork are non-refundable once work has begun.
If a client cancels before work has started, any refund will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
Because commissioned artwork is created specifically for the client, completed custom artwork is not eligible for returns or exchanges.
6. Shipping & Delivery
Shipping costs are the responsibility of the client unless otherwise stated.
AF Studios is not responsible for delays, loss, theft, or damage caused by the shipping carrier after the package has been shipped. Every reasonable effort will be made to package artwork securely.
Local pickup or delivery may be available when applicable.
7. Reference Photos
By submitting photographs to AF Studios, you confirm that you have permission to use the images for the purpose of creating your commissioned artwork.
AF Studios is not responsible for the quality of the final artwork when low-quality, blurry, dark, or otherwise unsuitable reference photos are provided.
8. Artwork Ownership & Copyright
The original artwork and copyright remain the property of AF Studios unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Purchasing a piece of artwork does not automatically transfer copyright or reproduction rights to the client.
Clients may not reproduce, resell, alter, or commercially use the artwork without written permission from AF Studios.
9. Social Media & Portfolio Use
AF Studios reserves the right to photograph and share completed artwork for use on social media, websites, portfolios, marketing materials, and promotional purposes.
If you would like your commission to remain private, please notify AF Studios before placing your order.
10. Fan Art & Licensed Characters
AF Studios may create fan art and artwork inspired by publicly recognizable characters, locations, or themes. Such artwork is intended as artistic fan work and does not imply ownership or affiliation with the original creators, brands, or copyright holders.
Commercial use of copyrighted characters, logos, or other protected materials may require additional permission or licensing.
11. Client Approval
For commissions that include a digital proof, the client will have the opportunity to review the artwork before final completion.
Once the client approves the final proof, AF Studios will proceed with completion. Delays in receiving approval may affect the original turnaround time.
12. Damaged Artwork
If artwork arrives damaged, please contact AF Studios within 48 hours of delivery and provide clear photographs of the packaging and artwork.
AF Studios will work with the client to determine the appropriate resolution.
13. Changes to Orders
Requests to change the size, subject, framing, background, or other major details after an order has been placed may result in additional charges.
Any additional costs will be communicated to the client before the changes are made.
14. Acceptance of Policy
By placing an order with AF Studios, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these policies.
AF Studios reserves the right to update these policies as the business grows. Policies in effect at the time an order is placed will apply to that order.
